Amazon Prime Video just got a major expansion. Per Amazon, the streaming service is now available in more than 200 countries and territories around the globe.Amazon has been expanding its video service for some time now, but this 200 countries milestone is a big one for the company. Amazon is everywhere now: in North America, Europe, and the Asian subcontinent, among others. In Belgium, Canada, France, India, Italy and Spain, the subscription is included in Amazon Prime (just as it is in the U.S.). Elsewhere, it's available as a standalone subscription at $2.99 or â¬2.99 per month (that's an introductory price, and could change).Of course, Amazon isn't the only streaming service racing to add coverage in new countries. Netflix also has a large overseas presence, and has made an effort to put more titles in its foreign libraries (even as the U.S. catalog – Netflix's first and largest one – has shrunk). As the streaming market in the United States becomes more and more saturated, look for more countries to follow the examples set by Amazon and Netflix.
