Disney+ is the biggest thing that cord cutters have seen in a long time. It's a bold new service that is challenging Netflix for streaming supremacy, and it just might manage to take the throne. If it does, it will be because of the content. The Disney+ shows and movies on offer through Disney's new streaming service are very impressive. Let's take a closer look at the Disney+ shows that subscribers can stream now that Disney+ has launched.

What's on Disney+?

Disney has a lot of good content in its major media coffers. It's not just the familiar animated films: Disney also owns ABC and all of its original programming, the bulk of 21st Century Fox's old holdings (including The Simpsons, among other shows), and all of the wonderful original documentaries from the Disney-owned National Geographic channel.

Virtually all of that good stuff is already available as of the Disney+ launch, and more titles are likely to arrive when streaming licensing deals with other services expire. On top of all of this, Disney is making new Disney+ shows: original series that look ready to go toe-to-toe with original hits from rival streaming services like HBO Now and Netflix.

Of course, Disney+ also boasts plenty of awesome movies — but we don't have room for all of that here, so check out our Disney+ movies page for more on those.

List of Disney+ Shows

Disney+ shows - The Mandalorian
The Mandalorian is one of several much-hyped Disney+ original series

Disney+'s library will change over time. The list you'll find below includes all of the Disney+ originals and and other Disney+ shows that were available at the time of the Disney+ launch on November 12, 2019. This list does not include shows that won't be available on that date, such as the confirmed but as-yet-untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi series that will come to Disney+ at some point down the line.

Disney+ original series

Disney+'s slate of original series builds on its major media properties (including Marvel Studios and Star Wars) and includes documentary series, animated series, and more. Again, not every Disney+ original that will come in the next year or two is listed here — just the ones that you can watch right now.
