As with all series, especially anthologies, “True Detective” has had its ups and downs. The first season, led by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, was a piece of television art. The third season was decent, and the second season was “eh.” We're only one episode into Season 4 and I’m all in. The Billie Eilish theme song is a black cherry on top!
The only downside? Only six episodes are planned for the season, with a short run of January 14 – February 25. Each of the three former seasons ran for eight episodes. Hopefully, the remaining five will be impactful, riveting, and just the right amount of ominous crime and horror.
