I adored Season 1 of ABC's “Will Trent.” The news that Mark-Paul Gosselaar would appear in the first season initially drew me in, but I stayed for the likable characters and crime drama. Ramón Rodríguez stars as the titular character, Special Agent Will Trent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations. Alongside his team and longtime friend and on-again-off-again love interest Atlanta PD Detective Angie Polaski (Erika Christensen), the bunch solve a slew of cases.
Trent's character could not be any cuter, and his dedication to wearing 3-piece suits runs strong. He can solve a crime like the best of them, overcoming the challenge of virtual illiteracy due to severe dyslexia. In addition to those issues, Trent and Polaski's difficult pasts as foster children contribute to both their personal struggles and relationships. Yet the both persist and are highly successful at their jobs when at the top of their games. Trent has a knack for noticing small details that are often big pieces of the crime puzzle.
