There is no show quite like “Futurama.” The animated adventures of Fry, Leela, Bender, and the rest of the delivery crew at Planet Express can feel funny and familiar, but the show can also be emotionally devastating — let’s not talk about that dog episode — and sneakily meaningful. That’s all just to say that it’s a really good show. Let’s find out where to watch “Futurama” online, so we can enjoy all that goodness without having to go crawling back to the cable giants.
Where to Watch Futurama Online
“Futurama” has left us (again), so we can’t tell you where to watch new episodes — there are no new episodes to watch. But we can tell you how to do two other things: First, how to stream episodes of “Futurama” on demand, playing whichever episode you like whenever you want. Second, how to watch “Futurama” reruns when they’re on cable channels such as Comedy Central — and how to do it without cable. Intrigued? Let’s explain.
The first step is easy. We’ll tell you which on-demand services, such as Netflix or Hulu, “Futurama” is on. (You can scroll down now if you’re impatient.) The second step is trickier. How can you watch live TV — or, you know, reruns of cartoons — on cable networks without cable?
The answer is a live TV streaming service, or “skinny bundle,” something we talk about a lot. Skinny bundles offer slimmer packages of cable channels, and since they stream online they’re not really “cable” at all. They are pay TV services, though, so there’s no way to watch “Futurama” online for free (at least not legally, and we’re not here to break the law). Many of the services listed below offer free trials, though.
Here's where to watch “Futurama” online.
This is probably why you came here: to ask whether “Futurama” is on Netflix, Hulu, or another popular streaming service. Well, it’s on Hulu. But we’d be remiss if we didn’t also tell you about Hulu’s live TV streaming service, Hulu + Live TV. It doesn’t offer Comedy Central, but it does have a whole lot of other great channels.
Philo is the most affordable live TV streaming service. It pulls off its low prices by avoiding sports networks and local channels, both of which drive up bundle prices. Philo’s channel lineup offers Comedy Central, which means you’ll be able to catch old episodes of “Futurama” in syndication. If you’re looking for every episode of “Futurama” on demand, though, you may want to consider Hulu.
fuboTV is one answer to the question of where to watch “Futurama” online. It offers a livestream of Comedy Central, which means you’ll be able to catch reruns. fuboTV doesn’t have the full catalog of old “Futurama” episodes, though. If you’d like to read more about fuboTV before signing up, our fuboTV review may be helpful.
Sling TV allows you to craft your own skinny bundle. Using base bundles and smaller add-on bundles, you can build your dream bundle on the fly or look at Sling TV’s channel list and decide in advance. A bundle that includes Comedy Central will give you access to “Futurama” reruns.
YouTube TV
YouTube TV is the live TV streaming service from Google. It’s all about live TV, so don’t expect to find a ton of old “Futurama” episodes on demand. Still, it’s a good option for “Futurama” fans because it includes a livestream of Comedy Central, which airs old episodes.

The Future Is Bright, ‘Futurama’ Fans
“Futurama” aired its last original episode in 2013, but its fans understandably remain devoted. But the future of animation is still bright, even without new seasons of “Futurama” to look forward to.
The first run of “Futurama” aired on FOX, and then Comedy Central picked it up a few years later. FOX may not have been committed to “Futurama,” but executives there are all in on another show created by Matt Groening. That show, of course, is “The Simpsons.” FOX will ride that show until the wheels fall off, and the network has already renewed it through 2023. No show can stay consistent for more than 30 years(!) of episodes, but there are still pleasures to be found in “The Simpsons.” You can read more about the show in our guide to watching “The Simpsons” without cable.
For edgier animation options than “Futurama” and “The Simpsons,” check out Adult Swim. It’s not all cartoons, but its biggest show, “Rick and Morty” is an animated comedy from Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland. Our How to Watch Adult Swim Without Cable page has everything you need to explore this most off-kilter of channels.
Futurama……So confused. Free? But with a “co-pay”…that’s not free. 30 days free? Can I download 10 years of programs in 30 days? i think not. An app for that? My experience with apps so far has been not so good…they bring along “sell your info”. [sigh]
