“‘Dear Child' is a German show, and if you've been following my recommendations, you may know that I've been gushing about fellow German series, ‘Dark.' The latter was one of the most meticulously twisted shows I've ever watched, my whole notion of time and its existence will never be the same! Actress Julika Jenkins who played Claudia Tiedemann in ‘Dark' initially drew me to ‘Dear Child.' While she wasn't as prominently featured here, it was still fun to watch her in a different but equally dark role. While ‘Dear Child' may not be as serpentine or layered as ‘Dark,' (which is somewhat expected given ‘Dark' had a 3-season run) the overall mystery and suspense kept me coming back for more. Oh, and I mentioned it's a limited series, right?! Easy peasy.”
