“I've been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Hulu's ‘A Murder at the End of the World' and the two-episode premiere did not disappoint! The mystery drama is a limited series that works in two timelines, featuring amateur detective and hacker, Darby Hart (Emma Corrin). Hart pens a book called ‘The Silver Doe,' giving her enough notoriety to earn an invite to a billionaire's exclusive conference along with other notable people.
Co-creator Brit Marling (known for ‘The OA' on Netflix as well) plays a supporting role as Lee, wife to eccentric billionaire Andy (Clive Owen). Owen is giving Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos vibes! The premise of inviting a group of individuals for a mysterious gathering in a remote location, in this case, Iceland, reminded me of Agatha Christie‘s ‘And Then There Were None.' In this case, there are nine instead of ten invitees. Not so coincidentally, one of them was a prior acquaintance of Hart's who just so happened to investigate a serial killer with her. Hmmmmmmm.”
