“‘Wilderness' is based on the novel of the same name by B.E. Jones. I haven't dug up much in terms of how closely it sticks to the television adaptation, but I did read that if there's a second season, it would likely explore more into the lead character Liv's (Jenna Coleman) background. That said, I do think the show was lacking overall depth and character development. Perhaps having explored Liv's past more would have made for a more compelling storyline to drive the overarching theme of revenge. However, I do give props to Jenna Coleman and her portrayal of the scorned wife Liv. She was believable and had a look in her eye I'd expect from a women being cheated on and gaslit by her a-hole husband.”
