The 73rd National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Game will be a weekend full of excitement for basketball fans. The usual three All-Star challenges include the Kia Skills Challenge, the Starry 3-Point Challenge, and the AT&T Slam Dunk. This year, a fourth challenge has been added to the schedule, the Stephen Curry vs. Sabrina Ionescu 3-point challenge. This will be the first time the NBA battles it out with the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). The weekend is all about showcasing the leagues’ top talent, and the schedule is packed! When Does the NBA All-Star Game Air? Where Can You Watch It?
While all the challenges for the event, including the NBA Rising Stars and the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, will take place over the weekend of Feb. 16-18 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the All-Star Game will be on Sunday, Feb. 18. East vs. West
The main event is composed of two teams, East and West. These teams are made up of 10 starters, picked by fans, current players, and media voting in. This year’s East Conference team features Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks as team captain, Joel Embiid from the Philadelphia 76ers has been injured and is replaced by Trae Young from the Atlanta Hawks, Jayson Tatum from the Boston Celtics, Tyrese Haliburton from the Indiana Pacers, and Damian Lillard from the Milwaukee Bucks, coached by Bucks head coach Doc Rivers. The Western Conference stars LeBron James from the Los Angeles Lakers as team captain, Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns, Nikola Jokić from the Denver Nuggets, Luca Dončić from the Dallas Mavericks, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from the Oklahoma City Thunder, coached by Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch.
