Lady and the Tramp is a Disney classic — and it's getting new life. Like other Disney hits before it, including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King, 1955's Lady and the Tramp is getting a new live-action remake in the 2010s. But there's a big difference between this remake and those past hits: Unlike the prior remakes, Lady and the Tramp will not be coming to “a theater near you” anytime soon. The film is not getting any major theatrical release, so you can forget about lining up for tickets. You won't be able to watch Lady and the Tramp on cable, either — or Netflix, or a whole bunch of other places that you might be used to enjoying your favorite films and TV shows. So where can you watch Lady and the Tramp online? That's the subject of today's “How to Watch” blog post. Read on! How to watch Lady and the Tramp online If you've been following Disney's big streaming push and our coverage of it here on Cordcutting.com, then you probably have a good idea of what this list is going to look like! Disney is entering the subscription streaming space with a major new challenger to Netflix: Disney+. While Disney also owns Hulu, the company has made it clear that Disney+ will get all things Star Wars, Marvel, and Disney Classics — plus a whole lot of all-new original material. The Disney+ service is debuting with some exciting original content, including a new live-action version of a beloved Disney classic — which, of course, is exactly the film that we're talking about in this post! Let's move on to the one-item list, shall we? Pretty easy “list,” don't you think? Lady and the Tramp is one of the original movies that will soon debut on Disney's new streaming service, Disney+. Disney hopes that its Disney+ original movies and TV shows can help it compete with — and perhaps even conquer — competitors like Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. Lady and the Tramp is arguably the biggest original film slated for Disney+'s launch, but there will be many more in the months and years to come; plus, Disney+ will be the eventual streaming home of many of the movies Disney will release to theaters (including all upcoming Marvel Studios films and all future Star Wars movies, Disney promises). Can I watch The Lady and the Tramp on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, or Chromecast? When you settle in to stream Lady and the Tramp, what will you stream it on? You'll have options! Disney+ will support a solid range of streaming platforms, mobile platforms, and devices at launch, though there are some notable omissions that we'll acknowledge below. You'll be able to use a Disney+ app to stream Lady and the Tramp on Roku, Android TV, Apple TV, and (via the mobile or in-browser app) Chromecast. However, users of Amazon's Fire TV platform will not be able to get a Disney+ app, at least not at launch (this could always change in the future, of course). Disney+ will also offer apps for iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as an in-browser app for your computer. That makes for even more ways to stream Lady and the Tramp! Even your video game console could be a way to watch Lady and the Tramp online. Disney will offer apps for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 video game systems at launch. When is the Lady and the Tramp release date? You won't have to wait long to enjoy Lady and the Tramp. As of this writing, it's less than a month away! Lady and the Tramp will be one of the Disney+ originals that is available right from the Disney+ launch. That's November 12, 2019, of course. Sign up for Disney+ now, and you'll be able to log in on day one and stream Lady and the Tramp online on any of the many devices and platforms that Disney+ supports! What will Lady and the Tramp be about? Speculation and rumors abound about Disney+ originals like The Mandalorian and WandaVision, in part because relatively little is known about them — we're still in the dark regarding plot points and even major characters. But we can be pretty confident that we know what Lady and the Tramp will be about! Lady and the Tramp is a remake of the original animated Disney Classic of the same name, which came out way back in 1955. You know the story: A pampered, high-class Cocker Spaniel named Lady meets a streetwise Schnauzer called the Tramp (not the nicest name!), and sparks fly. There will probably be a few added scenes — Disney has added songs and scenes to its other live-action remakes — but you can expect the new film to closely mirror the original in plot. If you can't wait for the remake, you can always re-watch the original film in preparation! The live-action film will focus mostly on the dogs, of course, but the voices behind the main characters are those of Hollywood stars: Tessa Thompson is voicing Lady and Justin Theroux is voicing the Tramp. Other stars in the film include Ken Jeong (who plays a human character), Janelle Monáe (who voices a canine character), and Same Elliott (who also voices a dog character). 0 thoughts on “How to Watch Lady and the Tramp Live Action Movie” I am still a little confussed so I will need to watch lady and the tramp on my computer is that correct Reply Hi Linda, thanks for reading! You will need a streaming service and an internet connection, but you don’t necessarily have to watch on your computer. You could also use a smart TV, a streaming box like Roku (which basically just turns regular TV into a “smart” one), a tablet, a smartphone, or even some video game systems.
