2024 has been a packed year for new and returning series — and we’re only a month in. Have you been adding to your watchlist accordingly? One trend I’ve noticed so far is the uptick in murder mystery shows. Between “True Detective: Night Country,” “Death and Other Details,” “Criminal Record,” and “Grimsburg,” January was filled with them!

Returning favorites for February include Fox’s acclaimed comedy “Abbott Elementary,” which premiers on Feb. 7, and ABC’s “Will Trent,” which returns for its sophomore season on Feb. 20. One of my only reality TV watches, “Survivor,” returns for Season 46 on Feb. 28 and I can’t wait!

Looking for a new series? You’re in luck. If you were a fan of the 2005 film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, don’t miss “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” a comedy-action series premiering Feb. 2 on Prime Video. It stars Donald Glover and Maya Erskine. For my fellow true crime fans, “#CyberSleuths: The Idaho Murders” debuts on Paramount Plus on Feb. 6

“Tracker” premieres in the coveted post-Super Bowl time slot on Feb. 11, and stars Justin Hartley from “This Is Us.” He may not be the strongest actor of the Pearson Siblings (Hartley, Chrissy Metz, and Sterling K. Brown), but I enjoy watching him nonetheless. Apple TV Plus’s “Constellation,” a new psychological thriller limited series, drops on Feb. 21. The streamer has done an exceptional job with its sci-fi and mystery shows, and this looks like it will be no exception. It stars Noomi Rapace (The “Millennium” series) and Jonathan Banks (“Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul”).

Here’s the most recent comprehensive list of new and returning TV shows set to premiere on broadcast TV networks and major streaming services in 2024. They’re listed in date order. Be sure to bookmark this page! It will be updated periodically as additional dates are confirmed.
