How to Watch the 2025 Masters Without Cable

The Masters is one of golf’s biggest tournaments, played over four days with 18 holes each day. It’s also the smallest field in major championship golf. Competitors start in groups of three for the first two days. After two rounds (36 holes), the lowest-scoring players move on while the rest are eliminated. The final two rounds determine the champion, and if there’s a tie, a sudden-death playoff decides the winner.

The Par 3 Contest, which includes players’ wives and kids, is the traditional curtain-raiser to the Masters, before the competition begins. Famously, no player has won the Par 3 Contest and the Green Jacket in the same year.

On cable, the tournament’s broadcast will be split between ESPN and CBS, but that’s far from the only way to watch. Paramount+ is the official streaming partner of the tournament, where you can find CBS-broadcast games as well as hours of additional footage. However, Paramount+ isn’t the only streaming service where you can watch.

ESPN and CBS are two of the most popular channels on TV, which means they are available on most major skinny bundle streaming services. These services have on-demand content as well as hundreds of live TV channels to add to your subscription, including ESPN and CBS. You can watch the Masters by subscribing to a skinny bundle, adding CBS and ESPN to your subscription, and tuning in live when it airs on regular cable.

If you’re not a streaming subscriber and are looking for a way to watch the Masters completely free, you’ve still got plenty of options. Much of the competition will stream for free online through The Masters Tournament website. This is perhaps the easiest way to access the games, although you will be limited to watching on a computer or phone.

The other free watch option is to tune in for free over-the-air using an HD TV antenna. Keep in mind this won’t work for ESPN broadcasts. However, CBS has local affiliates across the country broadcasting the tournament right to your local TV tower. This includes the final two — and most important — games of the competition.
