Cord Cutting Guides, News, and Reviews
Disney Plus is in a unique position compared to some other streaming services. The “Disney” in its name gives it strength that other brands can’t always match. But Mickey’s gang isn’t just resting on its reputation here. Disney Plus is the one place to go for everything from Marvel movies to your favorite animated Disney classics. It’s also where you can get “Mulan,” at least if you don’t mind paying extra for it. While we’re fans of Disney Plus, we’re also fans of great deals. And when Black Friday and Cyber Monday roll around, you’ll find that deals are more common than leftover turkey sandwiches in your fridge. Read on to find out about getting a Disney Plus deal to kick off the holiday shopping season.
Disney Plus has drawn in millions of new subscribers since its debut last November, but there’s still room to grow. Maybe you’re one of those folks If you’ve been waiting for a bit to get the best deal on Disney Plus, well, you can stop waiting, because you’ll likely find some bargains on the streaming service during Black Friday.
Black Friday is always a critical day for retailers, and in the, uh, unique environment of the past year, it’s more important than ever. Disney Plus isn’t exactly setting up a storefront to sell Disney Plus streaming services, so you can expect those deals to live online instead. That’s good news for you, as you don’t have to start lining up on Thanksgiving Day just to get a nice deal on Disney Plus.
Are there Disney Plus deals on Black Friday this year? We think there will be, although it’s too soon to say definitively right now. We’re keeping our eye on Disney Plus deals the way kids keep an eye on that adorable government Santa tracker. Bookmark this page to stay informed, as we’ll be updating this page early and often. Disney Plus offered a deal on its namesake streaming service last year, so we’re confident they’ll do something similar in 2021.
Black Friday falls on November 27 this year, but it’s not the only day you can save on Disney Plus. There’s also Cyber Monday on November 30. What is Cyber Monday? One of its biggest appeals is as a day to avoid the 84 million or so people who go to brick and mortar stores on Black Friday. Cyber Monday is all about shopping from home online, regardless of if you’re doing it on a laptop, desktop, tablet, or mobile phone. However you shop, you’ll want to keep up with Cordcutting.com to stay in tune with all the best Disney Plus Cyber Monday deals. Don’t forget to check in our social media pages too, as we often post updates there as well.
We don’t have a crystal ball that tells you exactly what kind of deal Disney Plus might offer for Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year. If we could tell the future, we’d probably be in a Disney movie rather than writing about then. But here’s what we know right now.
Disney Plus has really been leaning into bundling lately. We don’t mean wrapping yourself up in blankets on a cold winter night when we say “bundling,” either. Instead, we mean putting two or more streaming services together at a discounted price. That gives you the chance to try multiple services at once, and you don’t have to pay as much as you would if you bought each service individually.
Disney also owns Hulu and ESPN Plus, and they’d love it if you bought both of those services in addition to Disney Plus. That’s why they’ve been packaging the three services together and offering them at one low price for a little while now. It’s a good time to investigate Hulu and ESPN Plus and see if you’re interested in one or both of them. Maybe you and your spouse can watch adult fare like “Fargo” on Hulu while the kids watch “Frozen 2” for the 15th time on Disney Plus. If you’re more into sports, you’ll find plenty of sports documentaries and the like on ESPN Plus.
When you think about what you want now, you’re saving yourself a little time later. If Disney Plus drops prices even lower on a bundle deal, you’ll be able to see the price and know right away if you want to get it. Good things might come to those who wait at other times of the year, but not on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On those days, you have to strike while the iron is hot, because a cold iron is just a waste of everyone’s time and energy. Some deals may last for the whole weekend from Black Friday to Cyber Monday. Others will only last for a day, or in a few cases, only for a few hours. It’s a time for saving, not second-guessing.
You may also find things like discounts on an annual subscription for Disney Plus. It typically costs $79.99 for a year of Disney Plus, and it’s possible that number could get even lower as Disney tries to attract holiday shoppers.
It’s Disney’s world, and we’re just living in it. But while the Disney Plus subscriber numbers are impressive, they’re far from the only way to get a good streaming deal this Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We’ve got information on just about every streaming service under the sun. If you want to learn more about Hulu deals because you think the kids have enough to watch, that’s not a problem.
